Was really looking forward to the see the new installation at Glasslands, but, as cool as it is, the two LED panels they are using for key lights are horrific. Unless you’re keen on making all your performing artists look like Smurfs, maybe add some red and green into the mix.

That said, it was a great set from Aly. She can belt it with the best of them and her guitar playing is fierce.

Sad news today that the iconic cloud installation that graced Glasslands Gallery for the past almost four years is gone. While it’s disappointing, here are some shots from the installation that preceded the clouds. It reminds us that this was always supposed to be temporary. Featured are Iceland’s FM Belfast on May 17, 2008 and Brooklyn’s Longwave, July 16, 2008. RIP, Clouds.
