Jimmy Carbonetti of Brooklyn band, Caveman, on stage at their headlining show at Webster Hall in New York City on April 10, 2013. I thought their debut, Coco Beware was excellent, and their just-released, self-titled, sophomore record is every bit as good. A full set of photos are up on BrooklynVegan.

I photographed Scottish synth-pop trio, CHVRCHES, at NYC’s Cutting Room Studios for Seattle radio station KEXP back on March 19. Lovely people and it was great to see Martin Doherty who I know from his time touring with fellow Scots, The Twilight Sad. A full set of photos are up at KEXP’s Flickr page and you can stream their four-song studio session at kexp.org.

I still have some of these NYC Popfest portraits from 2012. Here’s Swearin’ outside of Littlefield in Brooklyn on the last day of the festival, May 20, 2012. We’re two months away from Popfest 2013. Who’s excited? I know I am.

I have a lot of love for Sigur Rós. A friend of mine put ( ) on for me when I was struggling to get over a migraine back in 2003. I’ve been a fan ever since. I was the Assistant Ticket Director at the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth in 2006 when the Icelandic band finished their North American tour for Takk and I got to hang with the band at their after-party. My personalized autographed copy of Takk from that encounter is one of my most treasured pieces of rock n’ roll memorabilia. Their career benchmark performance at Madison Square Garden on March 25 was the third time I’ve photographed the band in concert in less than nine months. A full set of photos can be seen at BrooklynVegan.
